Women Of Faith, The Praying Christian Wife

A book of encouragement for women who come to know the Lord in their marriage first… Mission Possible discusses the ups and downs of being married to someone who doesn’t share your passion for Jesus. Living in peace with God and your spouse is essential to keeping your joy intact and your hope alive. This short book is an “easy read”, but has much to say! You will want to read it over and over again! Alabaster Box Publishing

Pure Religion Before God

Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Blessings are found in the word of God.

The Key To You're Blessings

Is there someone that has wronged you, mistreated you, hurt you or let you down? Is there someone that has offended you or committed a trespass against you? Maybe a spouse, a brother, a sister, a parent, a son or a daughter? Maybe a co worker, or someone that borrowed some money and has yet to pay it back? Regardless of the reasons, we should all extend mercy towards others, forgive others, and simply allow love, compassion and mercy to flow.

We all make mistakes, we all fall short, and none of us are perfect. Be merciful towards others having compassion. For through such, you will be blessed. Besides, we reap what we sow.

Early Christian Art

Just imagine living in the times of Christ or the apostles and as the church was being birthed. Or possibly 100 or 500 years later. Just imagine the cultures, the way of life and the art of those times. History tells us a lot. Over the years I have read some great books and viewed some great sites about Early Christian Art and found them amazing. Just like seeing great pictures of the history of Egypt or the Aztecs, it's amazing to see history of peoples from generations ago.

Something else that's fun to do is to pick a year in time and see what events unfolded. For example in 1920 or the 30's or the 40's or possibly on your birthday, the day you got married or on the day your child was born. A great site to do that at is called Brainy History. It's interesting, fun and also surprising.

Health, The Heart & Living Healthy

As I've gotten older, I have become more aware of my health in the sense that healthy eating and living is a must. I'm not the young kid that I once was that could run and run while eating ton of junk food and skipping meals. These days I'm very careful about what I eat, drink, and also about taking better care of myself. I wish I would have applied that wisdom when I was younger.

There are many great websites online that provide volumes of information about healthy living. One web site that I found to be very helpful about the heart is both The American Heart Association and The American Stroke Association. The American Stroke Association is solely focused on reducing disability and death from stroke.

Remember, educating yourself can lead to years of healthy living.

Should Christian's Participate In Halloween

That time will soon be here and millions upon millions of children will celebrate Halloween. So what is this holiday and celebration all about? Is it simply fun, costumes, candy and children going from door to door? Or is there something else behind the holiday and celebration of Halloween? What is the History of Halloween?

As kids growing up, both I and my sister celebrated Halloween. Dressing up, the costumes, the trick or treat lanterns and yes, the candy was all a part of the celebration. It was fun and as with all children, we eagerly awaited that day.

Many years passed and when I became a Christian I did extensive studies online about Halloween and was quite shocked at what I found and read. I'm not going to go into details, other than to provide our readers with some links that will lead you to some informative sites about the history of Halloween like The Bible & Halloween. As Christian's and Christian parents, we must individually decide whether we should allow our children to participate in Halloween. Should Christians Celebrate Halloween

The Stock Market Hits Big Numbers

Have you seen it? The rally and comeback as today's stock market hit 10,000 plus. Hey great. So do you have more money in your savings, did you get a raise at your job, did your utility bills go down, did your medical costs go down, did your health insurance go down, auto insurance, etc. Did this rally and comeback place any more money in your pocket or get your bills closer to being paid off?

How about our senior citizens. Did this rally and come back help them? What about all the people that lost their homes and life savings. Did it help them? I wonder who will get the credit for this great comeback and rally?

Fuel for thought.

The Fruit Of Deception

Deception is simply a form of lying, trickery and wickedness. However deception comes with fruits. You see when we sow seeds of deception into the hearts and lives of others, those seeds eventually come back to us, as fruit. Fruit that is very distasteful and rotten. You might say "how so?". Actually it's simple; "what goes around, comes around". In other words "we reap what we sow.

Sow seeds of goodness into the hearts and lives of others and good things will come to you.

The Bondage Of Credit Card Debt

For some, credit cards can be a blessing, however for most, credit cards lead to bondage. Yes, you can charge them up, pay the monthly payments, fees and interest, however in the end they can get the best of you.

I have a friend that has quite a few credit cards, all with zero balances. He has them for emergency use only, and if he has to use one, he pays it off in full. He can afford to do that. Yet for others, that have credit cards, many times people use them and they can't afford to pay them off and fall into the trap of debt. That debt usually builds and builds, as they continue to charge on their cards until things are drastically out of control.

Be a wise steward with your money. Spend within your means and do not become entrapped to debt.

America's Struggling Church's

As the American economy has encountered problems, so are churches. We all understand that churches depend on tithes, donations and love gifts to function. However, as the congregation deals with difficult times, unemployment, home foreclosures and all the other matters that have come forth, tithes and donations are affected dramatically. Many churches are struggling and being forced to make cutbacks in order to keep the doors open. As this happens much needed programs, outreaches and missions are affected.

Please take a moment and pray for America's churches.

The Power Of Worship

Worship is more than just singing a song. It's when we as Christian's worship God from the deepest part of our heart seeking to touch his heart. When that happens God in return inhabits the praises of His people and pours out His love, graces and peace upon us. There is a intimate fellowship that takes place when we pour our hearts out to God in worship. God responds to us and lavishes us.

There is a scripture that basically says "there is healing and fullness of joy in His presence". When we worship God, God pours out His wonderful presence, the presence of the Lord.

When we seek, we find. When we knock, the door is opened.

Gifts Of Healing

Do you believe in healing and gifts of healing? I do and I could share many testimonies of God's healing power. He is the Lord that healeth thee and Jesus is capable of bringing emotional, mental and physical healing to your body.

And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.

Press though and touch the healer Jesus is times of prayer and worship. For He is the Lord that healeth thee.

Serving Others Through Acts Of Kindness

As Christian's God calls us to let our light shine before others. We are called to extend the very love, compassion, mercy and kindness that God extends to us, towards others. This also includes forgiveness. Just imagine all the ways that each of us can be a blessing to others. Daily we all have countless situations and encounters with others in need. There are blessings found through serving others through acts of kindness. Heavenly blessings.

Together each of us as Christian can make a huge difference in the lives of others. All we have to do is look, see, and do something.

Home Schooling Advantages & Disadvantages

With our daughter soon to turn five and school just around the corner. My wife and I have some decisions to make. Public school or home school. We have many friends that have and do home school their children and with excellent results. No doubt that the children are safe guarded against all that can be encountered at a public school with hundreds and hundreds of kids from various backgrounds, upbringings and so on. Yet I still wonder, is it the right thing to do as our children must be prepared for the seasons to come, life and the world.

Guess it's time to Google some homeschooling and get some input on the pros and cons of home schooling vs. public schools.

The Simplicity Of Helping Others

Many years ago I lived in a small community setting of 200 homes. It was a time in my life when I was recovering from an illness. Daily I would for hours and hours walk the streets of that community. Over a short period of time I came to know all the residents. Soon after that I found myself doing little things to help the residents. You see, it was a senior citizen community.

I found myself performing little repairs for the community residents. Taking there trash out, helping them to carry their groceries, washing their cars, moving heavy items that they could not carry, and just the simplest of things. Soon after that I found myself ministering to many of the residents about God. As time passed, people would knock on my door and ask me to pray for their husband, or wife, or father or mother.

Within this I slowly watched God give me a ministry within that small community of senior citizens. Friendships were born and I found myself sitting on porches spending time with the elderly. It was an amazing time in my life.

There is great joy in the simplicity of helping others.

She Has This Thing

My daughter will be turning 5 years old this December. Oh how fast she has grown. It seems like just yesterday she was learning to walk and here we are already. She's such a blessing from God, so full of life, has way too much energy and just a barrel of fun to be around. Truly, I have been blessed beyond measure.

Over these last almost five years I have watched her grow and mature in ways that leave me in awe. She's bright, creative, and loves to explore. Of course we have those occasional moments as do all parents. However that's when I must be a father in all situations. That's when I must apply love in even greater measures. Simply through love to help her understand rights and wrongs and mature with character. Sometimes, in the end she teaches me things, like how to love life from a child like perspective. She has this thing that when I get too serious, she makes me laugh. Too funny!

It is good to learn from our children while teaching them about life.

The Application Of Godly Love

Love is a wonderful thing. It is an expression of God. As human beings we need to understand the power of God's love which is full of compassion, mercy, understanding and forgiveness. When Jesus Christ died upon the cross, Jesus died for the sins of the world, past, present and future. The very passion of Christ was poured out.

Just imagine if we all loved as God does. If our love was full of compassion, understanding, mercy, and forgiveness. Just imagine the lives that could be changed, the injustices that could be healed, the wounds that could be removed and the joy that could come forth. Just imagine a world that walked in love one towards another. A humanity that reached out to those in need.

Love is the heartbeat of God and the greatest of all gifts.

Believe Not Every Spirit That Speaks

As Christian's and especially babes in Christ. We must always be careful of what we are chewing on. If it doesn't line up with God's Word, we might just find that we are chewing on meat that is not from God. That's why it's so important to read and study God's Word. Otherwise we might find ourselves receiving another gospel, and following the teachings of men that are not scriptural.

There are blessings in reading, studying and understanding God's Word.

Thwe Darkness From Within

It is written that out of the mouth comes forth the abundance of the heart. So, what does that say about the heart? In such cases when angers are present, uncontrollable angers, bitterness, and words that are the fruit of such. What is in the heart? In the heart filled with peace, grace, mercy, compassion, love and the fruits of the Spirit. Is the heart overflowing with the love of Christ?

Just fuel for thought.
